The women of Jagruti Mahila Self Help Group paving the way for their economic progress by manufacturing Vermicompost and LED bulbs.

In an eco-friendly bid to promote organic farming with the use of organic vermicompost, the women involved in the manufacturing of vermicompost are paving the way for new economic progress for themselves and their families.

The socio-economical livelihood scenario of women is continuously improving by joining the village Gauthans.

One such example is being presented by the women of Jagruti Mahila Self Help Group associated with Chhindiya Gram Panchayat, who along with making vermicompost, are creating new dimensions of self-employment by making LED bulbs as well.

The women of Chhindiya Jagriti Mahila Self Help Group of the Baikunthpur village have been honored by the district administration for their numerous products and vermicompost manufacturing, and these products are being sold easily through C Mart.

The group said that they got huge benefits in the field of marketing from C-Mart, and now all their goods are being bought by C-Mart.

Women who have been able to make themselves self-reliant by joining Bihaan say that by joining this wave of self-employment, we have now become independent and are helping our family members financially by creating a new identity for themselves among society and their family members, the name of their village organization is Suraj Mahila Gram Sangathan, in which 6 women are working together to make LEDs.

Neelam, a member of the group says that today her dream has come true with the help of the innovative initiatives of the state government.

Since 2019, vermi and super compost fertilizers are being manufactured and sold by the group in Gauthans and so far, the group has earned a profit of Rs 6 to 7 lakh by selling vermicompost fertilizer worth Rs 17 lakh, while earthworm manure worth Rs 2.5 lakh was also sold by the group.

Neelam says that for a long time it was her dream to have her own house, along with it she also had a great desire to buy a two-wheeler.

The profits earned from the sale of vermicompost helped her fulfill both these wishes. Now she proudly travels in her vehicle.

Similarly, the lives of other women of the group have also been filled with happiness due to their attaining prosperity through Gothan’s activities.

It is noteworthy that during the Bhent Mulaqat program held in Patna , the women of the group talked to the Chief Minister and told him about the livelihood activities, on which Chief Minister Mr. Baghel praised the work of the group and congratulated them.

The self help Group has made more than one thousand LED bulbs
Jagriti Mahila Group of Gram Panchayat Chhindiya is now being established as an inspiration for other rural women around.

Chairperson of the group Neelam Kushwaha informed that till now more than one thousand LED bulbs have been manufactured by the group and they have received about 70 thousand rupees from the sale of more than 500 bulbs.
