Sitapur CHC, Komakhan PHC, and Gopalpur UPHC have received NQAS certification from the Union Health Ministry.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has awarded three more health centers in the state with National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS – National Quality Assurance Standard) certificates for providing excellent healthcare and better treatment to patients. In the last month of February, a team from the Union Health Ministry inspected these three hospitals and tested the quality of services available to patients. In this regard, the team took feedback from patient’s too.

The Union Health Ministry has awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate to Sitapur Community Health Center in Surguja district, Komakhan Primary Health Center in Mahasamund and Gopalpur Urban Primary Health Center in Korba. Gopalpur Urban Primary Health Center got 89 percent, Komakhan Primary Health Center 85 percent and Sitapur Community Health Center got 84 percent marks in the evaluation of the Health Ministry team.

It is worth noting that the hospital’s services and satisfaction level are tested on various parameters by an expert team before being awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate. These parameters include available services, patient rights, inputs, support services, clinical services, infection control, quality management, and outcomes. The Union Health Ministry only issues quality certificates to hospitals that meet these stringent standards.
